About Pond View Printing & Photo
Pond View Printing & Photo is a small, dedicated photo printing studio nestled in rural mid-western Ontario in Grey County. It was born from a shared passion for photography between myself and Peter Ciokan, the former owner of the beloved Foto Art store in Owen Sound. When Peter closed his shop in 2023, the two of us began dreaming up a new kind of online photo service, one built on our collective experience and our deep love for the craft. His honesty, expertise, and passion helped shape the foundation of everything we created.
Our goal was simple: to offer a personal, thoughtful, and beautifully crafted photo printing experience, something we’d genuinely want to use ourselves. Sadly, Peter passed away in May 2024 before seeing the project complete. But by then, we had a clear direction, a shared vision, and the beginnings of a powerful platform. It became my mission to carry that forward.
Named after the peaceful pond just outside the studio, Pond View Printing & Photo is grounded in a calm, caring approach to every print we make. With years of experience in photography, printing, and web development, I’ve crafted a system where every detail matters. Each feature has been carefully considered and refined through real-world use, guided by genuine care for both the process and the final product.
Since January 2024, every part of Pond View’s platform has been designed and built from the ground up. This isn’t a generic photo upload service or template-based storefront. It’s a completely custom system, shaped by thousands of hours of work focused on one goal: to make something real, lasting, and worthy of your moments.
At Pond View, prints aren’t pushed through a factory. They’re made by someone who understands how much your memories matter. Peter and I always believed that the experience should feel as meaningful as the memory itself, and that belief lives on in every order we fulfill.
This is more than printing. It’s remembrance, craftsmanship, and care, one photo at a time.
